On Metamorphosis, the group continued their musical explorations, adding a layered production to their tiacaurofnerohungiabaganaceka.coinfor, only keyboardist/vocalist Doug Ingle was enthusiastic about the band's new musical direction and most of the group refused to participate in the recording of the album, claiming it strayed.

3. Makes you wonder why Iron Butterfly was not using a sitar during the "In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" days, when every other psychedelic band was using one. "A Soldier in Town" refers to a soldier actually being Cupid. It's a rather slow piece but Doug Ingle really shouts here/5(10).

8. The Jumping off point for Captain Beyond. This is a fine offering by Iron Butterfly with the twin guitar lead attack of Rhino and Mike Pinera. I would give it actually stars if they allowed. I've liked this better than the other Butterfly stuff that I've heard yes, Including the big hit/5(94).
